Dan Moltion

Born and raised in Central New York, Dan started a career learning various disciplines from western performance events to polo to colt starting and problem solving. Dan currently resides and operates out of Earleville, MD and travels throughout the country helping to develop tomorrow's champions across a variety of breeds and disciplines. Dan also focuses on assisting riders to be effective communicators with their equine partners to ensure success in the barn, in the arena, on the trail.

Dan believes that understanding the mind and body of the horse and applying core horsemanship principles to every interaction will create a solid foundation for a troubled or developing equine partner. Speaking in a language the horse can understand requires us to understand the instinct of prey drive, pressure and release, operating with a push rather than a pull, training of the brain, rhythm, balance, and impulsion. These are the cornerstones of the foundation that Dan looks for in every horse. Dan believes that a well started horse is equipped to go in any direction because it has been prepared to be a good student.

"Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think" -Albert Einstein
